At Garment Care Ltd, we take pride in providing excellent service and handling every garment with the utmost professionalism. In the rare event that an item is damaged or lost during the cleaning process, we follow a clear and fair claims procedure to ensure transparency and customer satisfaction.

Reporting a Claim

To enable us to investigate and resolve issues effectively:

  • All complaints must be reported within 2 weeks after collection.

  • The affected garment must be returned along with:

    1. The order tag displaying the order number.

    1. The strip outlining the garment’s condition at drop‑off.

Claims submitted without these items may not be eligible for review.

Proof of Purchase

  • A valid receipt is required for compensation.

  • Claims submitted with unclear proof of purchase will not qualify for compensation.

Extreme Value Garments

For high‑value items:

  • The customer must have declared such garment to be an item of extreme value ≥ $500 or its equivalent at reception and filled the Garment Care Extreme Value Form.

  • Failure to declare an item as high‑value may affect compensation eligibility.

Compensation Structure

Compensation is based on the age and condition of the garment, as follows:

  • Garments less than one year old (good condition, with valid receipt): 50% of the purchase price.

  • Garments more than one year old (good condition, with valid receipt): 30% of the purchase price.

  • Garments in poor condition (with valid receipt): 10% of the purchase price.

  • Garments less than a year old without a valid receipt (purchase value verified via internet or otherwise): 30% of the purchase price.

  • Garments more than a year old and in good condition without a valid receipt (purchase value verified via internet or otherwise): 20% of the purchase price.

*A garment in poor condition is one with significant damage (such as tears or severe discolouration), is weakened, heavily soiled, or aged (exhibiting storage stains or mildew). These conditions present a higher risk of further deterioration during processing.

Resolution Process

Once a claim is submitted:

  • The garment will be inspected by our team.

  • Supporting documents will be reviewed.

  • Compensation will be calculated based on the criteria above.

  • A final decision will be communicated to the customer.

Garment Care Ltd reserves the right to make the final determination based on the evidence provided and the condition of the garment.
